Community Support

ProjectChef - Galloway's supplies ProjectChef with a year's supply of dry ingredients. In April, Annie visited a class at Charles Dickens Elementary in Vancouver to watch the students make pizza. Here they are, making the dough. They made their hats and decorated their aprons.

Galloway's believes healthy families make healthy communities, so we were pleased to support Touchstone Family Services' Eating Together 2012, an event which ran February 19-26, in Richmond. (Touchstone Families Services provides counselling to families in need.) Six Richmond chefs offered cooking classes throughout the week for only $15 per person. Galloway's supplied a door prize for each class.

Friday, November 25th, Galloway's donated $650.00 to The Richmond Christmas Fund

Thank you to everyone who shopped that day: together we made a difference

We are pleased to support ProjectCHEF for the 2011-2012 term. Barb Finley teaches grade 3 students in several Vancouver schools how to choose their food, cook it, and sit down at a table and share it. Galloway's decided to supply Barb with some of her ingredient list. Spices, quinoa, short-grain brown rice, steel cut oats, millet, and more. We know these children go home and teach their parents and siblings what they've learned. We like the fact that Barb is teaching them how to cook real food.
